This new body of work focuses on Patricia’s exploration of Icelandic language, culture and traditions, all experienced and documented during her artist’s residency in Reykjavik, Iceland.

The origins of each painting begin with the personal connections Aaron made with the locals, the island’s raw landscapes, and Reykjavik’s pulsing urban environment. Aaron layers her unique, large-scale paintings with colorful encaustic waxes, ink drips and splashes, also applying spray paint using original stencils. Aaron’s work is held in private and public collections in the US and overseas.
